Payment Policy

I am committed to providing the highest level of personalized, trauma-informed care. I have thoughtfully chosen to operate as a self-pay (private pay) practice, meaning I do not contract with insurance companies.

This decision allows me to:

  • Offer a more flexible and holistic approach to care

  • Focus entirely on your needs—not on insurance-driven diagnoses, session limits, or treatment mandates

  • Protect your confidentiality by keeping your therapy records out of third-party systems

I accept all major forms of payment and can provide you with a superbill (a detailed receipt) should you wish to seek out-of-network reimbursement from your insurance provider. Please note that reimbursement is not guaranteed and depends on your specific insurance plan.

This model supports a more collaborative, values-aligned healing space—where we center your well-being, not billing codes.

In an effort to reduce financial barriers and increase access to quality mental healthcare. I reserve a limited number of reduced-rate spots for those who cannot pay the standard rates.

Out-of-network Billing

If you have a PPO or POS insurance plan, you may be eligible for out-of-network reimbursement, which means your insurance provider could cover a portion of your therapy costs—even though I’m not in-network. After you pay for each session, I can provide a superbill (an itemized receipt) that you can submit directly to your insurance company. Reimbursement rates vary depending on your plan, deductible, and whether you’ve met your out-of-network deductible for the year.

Before starting therapy, you may want to call your insurance provider and ask:

  • Do I have out-of-network mental health benefits?

  • Am I eligible for Telehealth mental health services?

  • What is my out-of-network deductible, and how much of it have I met?

  • What percentage of outpatient psychotherapy sessions do you reimburse for an out-of-network provider (CPT code 90834 or 90837)?

  • Is there a limit to the number of sessions I am allowed?

  • Do I need a referral from an in-network provider to see someone out-of-network?

  • How do I submit a superbill for reimbursement?

Please note: While I’m happy to provide documentation, I do not communicate directly with insurance companies, and reimbursement is not guaranteed. If you're unsure, a service like Reimbursify or Better can help simplify the process of submitting claims.
